How much does Whales English pay?
Whales English pays its teachers an hourly rate of $18-30 plus bonuses (these change, but for example, an extra $2 per hour for teaching from 5-7pm and another $12 per hour for teaching from 7-9pm on weekends).
What are Whales English hours?
Whales English schedules one-hour classes from 6-10pm Monday through Friday and 8am-10pm on weekends. You need to be available for at least 8 slots per week.
What are Whales English requirements?
To teach for Whales English, you need to:
- Be a native English speaker from the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and a 120-hour TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certificate
- Have at least one year of experience teaching children Save
- Keep your 12-month contract (penalties apply if you break this early)
Are there Whales English feedback report requirements?
Yes. You will be required to submit feedback for each student after every class, both positive and negative. This will help them know what they’re doing well and where they can improve.
Is Whales English a good company to work for?
Yes. Whales English provides a stable, user-friendly platform, and their classes are designed well and easy to deliver. You do, however, need to be sure about your 12-month commitment as penalties apply if you break your contract early.
